Master
Born in Rome on
May 16th/1957, Master Vincenzo Alibrandi,
creator of the Gojukan Budo method, practices
and studies:
- KARATE (Go-ju Ryu)
since 1972;
- IAI-DO (Hoki Ryu
and Zen Kendo Renmei Iai): since 1986;
- KENJUTSU AND
KOBUDO (Katori Shinto Ryu): since 1988.
His teaching
experience starts with Karate in 1983 followed
in 1992 by the other martial arts he's been
practicing.
- Master Alibrandi
has been graduated 5th Dan Renshi of Goju-ryu
Karate-do by the I.K.O. (International Karate
Organization) directed in Tokyo by Master
Yamamoto Gonnohyoe (10th Dan - direct pupil of
Master Yamaguchi Gogen) and represented in Italy
by Master Alberto Evangelista (9th Dan).
- He was also
graduated Karate Master within the Italian
National Olympic Committee and Iai-do Instructor
at the Italian National Fencing Academy in
Naples.
During his more
than thirty years of practice, he studied under
the guidance of the following Masters: Alberto
Evangelista (Karate Go-ju Ryu and Ko-budo);
Bruno Ravignani (Karate Wa-do Ryu and Judo);
Maurizio Palombi (Karate Shotokan, Kendo and
Iai-do); Luigi Teodori and Bruno Ballardini
(Karate Shotokan); Hatakeyama Goro (Katori
Shinto Ryu); Luisa Raini, Fausto Pegoraro,
Andrea Re, Claudio Regoli and Fabio Bardanzellu
(Katori Shinto Ryu and Iai-do); Sergio and
Franco Morstabilini (Katori Shinto Ryu);
Kazuhiko Kumai (Iai-do); Eric Louw (Katori Shinto Ryu
e Aikido).
Moreover, he
attended many stages with notorious Masters such
as Yutaka Toyama, Morio Higaonna, Shunji Sudo,
Gonnohyoe Yamamoto, Tsuguo Sakumoto, Kohei
Yamada, Tetsuji Nakamura, Meitatsu Yagi, Kentaro
Miyazaki, T. Yamanaka, Y. Sugino, J.
Bernaskewiche, Paolo Spongia, Giancarlo Bagnulo,
Victor Cook and many others, from whom he
learned not only a multifold heritage of
technical knowledge, but also the load of great
enthusiasm, perseverance and dedication that
all of them never missed to transmit together
with the luggage of their immense experience.
To all the above
mentioned Masters and to the others not enlisted
for space reasons, goes the utmost sincere and
deepest gratitude.
Having spent part
of his youth in the United States, he speaks a
fluent English and in order to keep alive the
link with his origins (Spanish Grandmother and
French Grandfather) he studied with success both
languages. His passion for languages extended to
German and finally, following his studies and
research in the field of Martial Arts, to
Japanese.
